The Indonesian government will pay a visit to India and Turkey to help promote the Indonesian economic corridor. A national entrepreneur, Chairul Tanjung, is ready to put in investment in the program.
"I'm planning to go around India once again. They're ready to go in for US$15 billion," said Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Hatta Rajasa, today, Feb 18.
A number of Asian countries have stated their commitments to be involved in the development of national economic corridor. Entrepreneurs from Japan are prepared to invest to up until US$60 billion; South Korea, US$20 billion; and India, US$15 billion.
Earlier, the government has been assured on the financing of economic corridor development by US$40 billion.
Several businessmen are willing to invest US$2 billion. On the other hand, Chairul Tanjung, owner of CT Corporation, has settled more than US$1 billion worth of investment.
